I’m a professional bass guitar and double bass player originally from the U.K. I have been teaching bass and general musicianship for almost ten years now, privately, in schools and for educational outreach charities. Lessons are relaxed, friendly and completely tailored to each individual’s needs.

Playing Experience
My playing background ranges from playing stadiums with big pop artists (in the support band for bands such as Simply Red and Lindsey Stirling) to small blues rock clubs across Europe with Canadian blues guitarist Cliff Stevens as well as playing festivals with my own jazz projects in the U.K. and in Switzerland. Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching bass privately for ten years now and to all ages and abilities. Between 2019 and 2021 I was the Visiting Bass Teacher at Warwick School (U.K.) giving one to one lessons and coaching the school’s jazz and rock ensembles. Between 2018-2021 I was also working for Musicate, an educational outreach programme in Gloucestershire in which I was writing and delivering music workshops for children aged between 5 and 11 years old.
My pedagogical outlook is completely student focused. My main aim is to understand each pupil’s goal in music and to help them reach their targets, whatever it may be. In the past I have helped children pass exams and coached adults into being able to play in bands. And everything in between!
I am currently studying for my Pädagogische Masters, at the Jazzcampus Basel and am willing to travel to students in the local area. I also offer online lessons!

Ich bin ein professioneller Bassgitarrist und Kontrabassist, der ursprünglich aus Großbritannien stammt. Ich unterrichte seit fast zehn Jahren Bass und allgemeine Musikalität, privat, in Schulen und für gemeinnützige Organisationen im Bildungsbereich. Der Unterricht ist entspannt, freundlich und ganz auf die Bedürfnisse des Einzelnen zugeschnitten.
Spielende Erfahrung

Unterrichtserfahrung:
Meine pädagogische Einstellung ist ganz auf den Schüler ausgerichtet. Mein Hauptziel ist es, das Ziel eines jeden Schülers in der Musik zu verstehen und ihm zu helfen, seine Ziele zu erreichen, was auch immer das sein mag. In der Vergangenheit habe ich Kindern geholfen, Prüfungen zu bestehen, und Erwachsenen geholfen, in Bands zu spielen. Und alles dazwischen!
Zurzeit studiere ich für meinen Pädagogischen Master am Jazzcampus Basel und bin bereit, zu Schülern in der Umgebung zu reisen. Ich biete auch Online-Unterricht an!
