We are excited to welcome a motivated student to join our Finance department at MDPI! This student assistant position offers valuable hands-on experience in the field of scientific publishing, with a focus exclusively on finance-related tasks.

This time, we are particularly looking to hire students with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) background, as their skills in technology and innovation are well-suited to the evolving needs of scientific publishing.
Responsibilities:
As a Corporate Finance Assistant, you will become a part of our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Corporate Finance team. Reporting directly to the FP&A and Strategic Finance Manager, you will help support the Accounts Receivable and Corporate Finance functions through a variety of tasks that require accuracy, analytical thinking, and a keen attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities
- In this role, you’ll help us keep the engine of our indexing operations running.
- Manage and maintain the Reviewer Recognition Service platform, including:
- Reviewing recognition requests from reviewers
- Communicating with editors and editorial board members
- Extract data from internal or external databases and conduct basic analysis in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Perform housekeeping tasks related to the internal ticketing system
- Provide general administrative support, including documentation and record-keeping
- Contribute to ongoing internal projects, depending on current needs
- Student Status: Currently enrolled in a university or higher education institution
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; German is an advantage
- A STEM background (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office O365
- Additional requirements: Effective communication and teamwork skills.
