Important security notice:
Phishing scam involving alleged TWINT or PayPal payments

There has been an increase in phishing scams involving purchase and sale agreements for advertisements.

Fraudsters specifically pose as interested buyers. They offer to pay for an item via TWINT or PayPal – often including shipping costs.

They then ask the seller to click on a link or QR code to confirm the alleged payment or to log in to TWINT or PayPal.

However, these links and QR codes lead to fake websites. Any login details or payment authorizations entered there are intercepted by the fraudsters in order to obtain personal data or money.

Important:

  • Do not confirm payments via links or QR codes sent to you.

  • Never log in to TWINT or PayPal via external links.

  • Only use the official app or the official website.

  • Do not disclose any passwords or personal data.

  • Delete suspicious messages immediately.
